ASTM D3574 - Test G results are given in:  cubic feet per minute (ft^3/min) at 0.5 inches of water or 125 pascals

ASTM D3574 - Test G - area of test is 4.00 sq. in. -or- 0.0278 sq. ft.

 

Converting Frazier units to ASTM D3574 - Test G units:

Air Flow (ft^3/min) = Velocity (ft/min) x Area (ft^2)

Air Flow (ft^3/min) = Frazier Number (ft/min) x 0.0278 (ft^2)

Air Flow (meters^3/min) = 0.02832 x Air Flow (ft^3/min) at 125 pascals differential pressure

 

Example:

Air Flow (ft^3/min) = 35 (ft/min) x 0.0278 (ft^2)

Air Flow through 4 sq. in. of sample = 0.973 (ft^3/min)

Air Flow (meters^3/min) = 0.02832 x 0.973 (ft^3/min)

Air Flow through 2500 square millimeters (4 in^2) of sample = 0.276 (meters^3/min) at 125 pascals differential pressure
